Women in Melbourne's North: A Data Book for Program & Service Planning in Health - 2005

This resource, the only one of its kind for the northern region, draws on a range of sources, including the 2001 Census of Population and Housing, the VicHealth study on the health costs of violence against women, and the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women's  Health.  It is the result of systematic collection and analysis of available data about women in the local government areas of Banyule, Darebin, Hume, Moreland, Nillumbik, Whittlesea and Yarra.  It brings together information about women's lives in a way that supports planners and policy makers in health and program and service delivery.  The 'Data Book' highlights  the need for specific responses to improve the health and wellbeing outcomes for women in the region.  For a copy of this resource write to info@whin.org.au.  The resource is free of charge, however, a small postage and handling fee applies.
