The Northern Metropolitan Region Preventing Violence against Women Committee (NMR PVAW Committee) was established in 2012 following the release of the region’s first strategy to prevent violence against women.
The Committee meets quarterly and includes representatives from the Building a Respectful Community Partnership, as well as Associate Members. The Committee provides strategic direction on prevention of violence against women work happening across the region, guides the implementation of the Building a Respectful Community Strategy 2022-2026, and provides a networking opportunity for those working on the primary prevention of violence against women.
If you would like any further information on this Committee, please contact the Health Promotion Team at WHIN on 03 948 41666.
